Hi there everyone. Just thought I'd post a pic or two of some custom gauntlets I'm making for my daughter. She wanted them very basic and simple, so here's the progress so far. I'm going to add a hinge on one side and velcro on the other so the will open and close. I'm also going to build up the blade housing so it looks better. This is just an idea of where I'm going with it. What do ya think?

dude have you seen the spy kids gear laser light at mcdonalds in the happy meal?? you push a button it folds out and the light turns on. If ya could plastuc weld that sucker to the other guant it would make an awesome set of kids mando guants.
by the way cool thread and good work

No I haven't seen it. I wanted to put spikes or something along the forearm, but my little Mando said no. I had drawn up a gauntlet with a mini gatling gun on it, but she didn't like it either. That'll be for my custom gauntlets.

I can't decide if I want to make her spring loaded toy knife more functional. Make it more like an out-the-front stilleto like the Joker's blade. Problem is, I have no idea how to make it work like that.

do you have it rigged up so that the spring mechanism can be activated by the same hand that the knife is attached to?

Actually, it's not rigged up at all. It's a trick knife. The blade goes into the handle when you push on the blade.

were talking to me or southern hunter apollo? if it was me, then it is possibly to attach a little string from one of your fingers to the activation-thing-stick
