Well, I'm finally a member of TDH, and I'm starting a build on a helmet using the WOF tempates. I'm going to try to post a ton of pictures, but we'll see.:rolleyes
I need all the help I can get, so anybody who knows ANYTHING, please tell me so I get this right!
I'm starting off with a posterboard helmet, and then going to sintra (man, that stuff's expensive!:cry).
Hopefully soon I'll post some pics of my posterboard helmet's progress.
One more thing; does anybody have a better way to glue the posterboard than a hot glue gun? I can't get any precision with that thing!

How do you post pics on this thing???

When you post a comment (not quick reply)
look at the bottom of the screen
there is a button for you to add attachments

or you could just use the appropriate BBcode i.e.

BB works much like html.....put the url of the image between the code. Just google BB code

Thanks guys for all the help!
So here are some pictures of my progress:
1. This is a classic me moment. I just started cutting and glueing without thinking. Then I relized, Oh, duh, somethings wrong! So I put the cardboard strips on the top and gave it to my little brother to wear.:rolleyes

The dome isn't finished, and I jumped ahead a little to paint it (I just couldn't wait to see what my colors looked like!:)). I'm working on the dome right now; I used WOF dome tempates, taped posterboard over the seams, and reinforced the inside. Next I'm going to use spackling to coat over the outside...we'll see how it turns out.:rolleyes
Does anybody know where I can get a cheap visor?

The spackling didn't work correctly; it was too dry and hard (Probably had something to do with sitting out in the shed in 115+ degree weather. lol) I'm going to have to get a lightweight spackling paste, or try something else. Any ideas?

Fibreglss from the inside of the dome. That's what I'm doing to mine later today. If you're happy with the shape of your dome, then apply pre cut fibreglass to the interior, when it hardens, it'll give a good solid dome. Then car body filler to the outside to smooth it all out. ;)
