Bored at work, Bucket Designs

I dunno, they have a nice Simonelle droid there. I myself prefer the Mandalore Cleaners, but that's just me. I don't like my lab coat to be dirty. There's a **** stain on the lapel i can't get out but..

Enough hijack. We now return to our original programming.

*falls over laughing* What was your lapel doing so close to the source of the Osik?

Meh. Hijacking is cool.

Second version of the armor coming up right now, plus random doodles and things that have caught my interest over the last few days of drawing.

Fist pic is an alternate look for the armor. Changed the colors a little, changed the spats. Added front and back views for the bucket. I'm planning on the EMS style stars on the back to be raised just a bit, and have air hoses feeding into them.

Second pic, I took the outline of an AK-47 and futzed around with it. Did straight magazines, because the curved ones just looked funky once I had them drawn. Top four weapons have standard barrels, and are in various configurations (stock, no stock, scope, no scope). Second four I exchanged the normal barrel for a wide mouth short barrel. *shrugs* I think I like that version better.

Third and last pic is me trying to hash out the final functional design of my helmet. The back will have the above mentioned air hoses, but I'm still working out the front. I think I'm gonna loose the magnification lens, and just keep the slide down med scanner. Can't decide beween gray or white, though. I really like the left hand face plate, with the surgical mask influence, but the squared visor looks great too. Argh! Choices choices.

Any votes? Comments? Suggestions?

i like the T visor because its Traditional

The reason why My Helmet won't have a range Finder IS that The HUD has a built in Selectional(invented word) Area Zoom (which Allows me To Use scopes and stuff of the sort while keeping a Wide view of what is around me((And so i can Zoom into the wound while looking at the cringes on the mando's face while i Remove the Bullet stuck in him)) And when not in use i won't have a massive thing Handing on top of my bucket for Stealth reasons so my range finder won't be visible((Non existent)) for when the Top of the dome is just under cover

Is that a bad thing kal? We can all go if you can save your own shebs from bleeding to death!

no, no pacx not a bad thing... don't plan on gettin' my shebs shot off tho! lol

as for the RF... u'll notice my mando doesn't wear one anymore either... opting instead for a more functional/efficient macrovisor

@Kal'ika: Yeah, I really dig your design. At first, I was like "Seriously? Macrovisor on a Mando?" But it's grown on me in the months that I've been lurking here.

The standard RF just strikes me as a bit impractical. You have to worry about smart *** Aruetiise trying to shoot it off, and that stalk, even if it's beskar, can't be too stable. If nothing else, it'd be trying to pry off your bucket's ears any time any stress was put on it.

I was gonna go with a single RF over on eye on a swivel head, so that I could just rotate it up out of the way, but it wound up looking like a devil horn when straight up (pretty cool), and like I was missing an eyebrow when sideways (not so cool).

I think I'm just gonna stick with a single slide up range finder over one eye.

@Zuk'ika: I just saw this, and it made me laugh. You said you've got "Selectional(invented word) Area Zoom" in your bucket, right? You do realize that you're carrying S.A.Z. around inside your yead, don't you? Heh. I wonder how he feels about that...

Also, doodled most of the night away. Came up with these fine upstanding young soldiers...

Red Mando is the Clan Leader of these four. His black armor with colored trim indicates high rank, as does his colored T-visor. The loincloth symbolizes his actual leadership of the clan. He's got an entire clan to protect his gettse, so he doesn't have to (though he certainly does). His Kama indicates that he fought his way to the spot. Made of the last Clan Leader's cape, it's more a trophy than an actual instrument of power. And yes, he did start out as a Superman Mando.

Green Mando is also high ranking, as evidenced by his armor and colored T-Visor. He's a communications/intelligence specialist. Large comm backpack and a beefed up RF. I was messing with the chest piece on this one, and it reminded me of the circuit boards I used to work on, so he became green.

Gold Mando is an airborne battle specialist. His chest armor represents a full formation in flight, and his T-Visor is modified to resemble a bird's beak.

Blue Mando is an aquatic specialist. Goggle shaped T-Visor, SCUBA equipment on his back, complete with airhoses. His chest armor represents the five seas of Mandalore (the world, though I have no idea how many seas it actually has).

VERY nice vod! What programme do you use? I want it. I believe Mandalore has 7 seas. As in your signature, I could be completely wrong and i suspect someone like Saz or Kal'ika will eventually pop up and correct me.

The lapel incident was.. uh... unintended.

*falls over laughing* I'm glad it was unintended. Otherwise I'd have to assume you were one of the stars in the Holofilm "2 girls 1 plastoid drinking container".

I just use MS Paint. And lots and lots of spare time and patience. Sometimes I edit and revise one pixel at a time. It's time consuming, and labor intensive, but I can do it at work, which helps.

*chuckles* Yeah. Just takes time and patience. I've been using paint forever and a day, so it's not so bad. I even designed one of my tattoos with it.

Sorry for the double post, but I did some more work on the Mando Clan. Kept thinking about it today while I slept (yes, I dream of Mando's), and came up with a little more info and some design changes.

These four are brothers, and the leaders of Clan Baatir (to worry about). They all four wear Beskar armor that's been equipped with vibro-units, making them more resistant to blaster bolts and slugs. The bright color of the trim of the armor is actually an indication that the armor is powered up.

Red Mando, is Na'ur Kad (to forge a saber) Baatir. He's the (I forget the word for this rank) Clan Leader, and runs the entire clan, from his farm outside Kyrimorut. He seldom carries a firearm, since he's retired, but he still carries a ceremonial bevii'ragir and his kad, which is also converted to a vibrosword.

Green Mando is Susulur (to listen) Baatir, and he runs the Keldabe branch of the Clan. He carries two electric stun pistols.

Light blue Mando is Tar (star, sky) Baatir, and he is the only brother to have moved offworld. He runs the Coruscant branch of the Clan. He carries two gauntlet mounted chainguns.

Dark blue Mando is Iviin'yc (quick, or fast) Baatir, who runs the few Clan members who live on Dac, or Mon Calamari. He carries an old fashioned speargun.

.....and that's what I dreamed about today. Enjoy.

Heh. I didn't even think of that.

*falls over laughing* Go go Power Mandos! And in the background, Jango's head floats in a bacta tank, all foggy and blah blah blah. And Boba shakes his head and says "Ay ay ay!"

Thank's Pac'ika

So I do, but if I get a cane, everbody'll accuse me of trying to be like House, M.D.

Although....he would make a pretty Ori'Kandosii mando...

*chuckles* So I was working on my armor designs, again...and again, and again. I can't seem to leave well enough alone. I think I've decided on a design, and I'm working on a history. I just need to finalize my color scheme.

Let me know what yall think.

BRT- Black with red trim, Buy'ce same
BRT1- Black with red trim, Buy'ce reversed

RWT- Red with white trim, Buy'ce same
RWT1- Red with white trim, Buy'ce reversed

WRT- White with red trim, Buy'ce same
WRT1- White with red trim, Buy'ce reversed

Personally, I'm not a fan of the last two. I think I look too much like a white job (regular clone).

I was totally inspired by Saz's upcoming Celtic knot bucket, and so I made this thing. Kinda also inspired by the old "King Arthur And The Knights Of Justice" 'toon. I think I hate the crown idea, though....

Took that last design and scrapped it. Didn't like it at all, though I liked the Celtic knotwork (Saz inspired, of course), and the idea of a crown. Earlier tonight, Kal'ika asked me to do his and Fi's (his lady) buckets, and so I threw down their helmets. Used the same color blue, in different lightnesses (is that word?), and the idea of his/hers buckets struck me.

So I took the Celtic theme and incorporated it into what I envision as a pair of clan leader's helmets. Husband and wife. In honor of Kal'ika and Fi's contribution to this, the blue is (or at least should be) the same color on the female helmet.

I tried to make the brow designs more flowing and soft on the blue bucket, and made the facial designs more pointed and aggressive on the green one, to make the difference that much more apparent.

What do yall think? Too weird? Have I gone off the deep end?
