Bardan Jusik

I'm reworking my current Mando armour into a Bardan Jusik costume. For those unfamiliar with the character, Bardan Jusik is one of the Jedi knights who leads the Republic Commandos.

As far as I am aware, there have not been any published images of Bardan, so my only information on what he should look like is from the Republic Commando novel, Triple Zero:

"dull green Mandalorian armour in the form of body plates and greaves. The matching helmet with its sinister T-shaped slit in the visor stood on the floor beside him."

I'll update this thread with my own concept art as I come up with it, and when I get to actually building this will become a WIP thread. If anyone has any other information on what Bard'ika's armour looks like, I'd appreciate it.

It's been a while since I read them, but I want to say that Jusik is given Ghez Hokan's armor for the operation at the end of that novel, right? Didn't they take Hokan's armor after he was killed at the end of _Hard Contact_? If I'm right, you might be able to get a better idea of the armor Jusik wears by looking for descriptions of Hokan from the first novel of the series.

Nope, it's not Hokan's. Fi offered to let Etain wear his Hokan armour just before leaving for the last fight in TZ. And it says in Hard Contact that Hokan's armour was grey with red trim. Bard'ika's is dull green. Thanks though.

Bard'ika's armour was a gift from Kal Skirata, who gave it to him before the covert operation in Triple Zero. Hokan's armour is grey and red and was taken by Republic Commando Fi after Hokan was killed fighting the Commando's on Qiilura.

By the way, I spoke to Karen about Hoken and his armour and she stated that his helmet is NOT the DeathWatch type.

There was a fant art of Bardon in mando armor at theforce.net forums. It seemd to looked like a "before the end of the book" moment, since he didn't have a helmet, but just street clouths with mando armor (plus gauntlets). Looks badd @$$ though.

I'll find and post the picture in a moment. Not cannon by any mena,s but it's atleast something to draw inspiration from if you wish.

EDIT: Here it is at a different site:

And here's her fan art thread at TF.N, which includes some other mando stuff. Hope I'm not jacking the thread or anything

I've begun painting my Bardan helmet tonight. It's kind of a forest green with silver trim. It may be a bit too dark of a green, but I'll see how it goes. It may turn out to be a good undercoat. I'll get pics of it tomorrow in sunlight and post them for you guys to see.

First up is the quick colour scheme I worked out on Mirta Gev's program. The actual look will be slightly different though.

Next up are the pictures of the helmet. It still has some touching up to do, but I imagine the final look won't be too much different.

You can press alt+print screen key, and it will save the contents of the active program on your pc, to the clip board, which then can be pasted in to any image program (paint, photoshop etc) and saved.

That way you dont have to take a camera shot of your screen.:)

*Thumbsup* Looks pretty good man! Although, I don't think he wears a jet pack. Thought about having some jedi garment in there as well? Sort of like what Kenobi did in the cartoons.

That thing was just to figure out the colour scheme. There's not going to be a jet pack. I'm going to have more of a Clone Wars Anakin style vest over top of the armour, going right down to the knees. There will be pleny of Jedi crossing over.

Don't forget that in the book Jusik is given the armour partly for protection but mostly to disguise that he was a Jedi. Skirata only allowed him to use his lightsaber because there would be no surviving witness's. The mission required Jusik to appear to be Mandalorian as he was acompanying Skirata when Skirata met the targets.
Whilst I think the idea of making Jusik wearing a coat or something different to "regular" Mando armour is good, aside from the saber (which shouldn't be obvious) there should be very little to indicate he's a Jedi General.

Here's the beskar, all rub and buffed, on top of my vest.

It's 3mm sintra, but I've doubled the layers and glued them together after shaping. I think if gives it a lot of depth. It also allowed me to place snaps on the lower layer for vest attachment purposes.

Here are my pictures of Bard'ika's armour all painted up and weathered.

The vest needs some work to get the armour to sit right with the velcro, but that shouldn't be too much trouble.
