People are always needing gauntlet rockets it seems, so I bet plenty will be interested in this.
yeah, the cone is proving to be a pain(drilling the sideways holes) but, the dremel is the best tool in my toolbox lol. I'll get it. these won't be 100% accurate, but I think I can get them pretty close. Been working with the dremel for a few hours today(offday woohoo!) and I think I am getting close to the look. pics coming tonight
oh, and I trimmed down the circumference of the cone flange... way too large. molded the flange today also
Just for reference, I used a plum bob (the heavy metal piece you hang from a string and use gravity to hang it) from the local discount hardware store for 2$ to make my first rocket tip. If your making a custom sometimes they come with pretty cool designs in therem.
thanks for the tip brother, I actually have one in the garage. I'll have to try that, the screw in tip should work well for the little extended tip piece at the end too
oh, and yes... I still like to play with play doh
