A'den K. is at it again!

Hey vode! It's been a LONGGG time since I've posted here, and even longer since I've posted a build thread. BUT that now has changed. I am OFFICIALLY starting a complete revamp of my current armour and also build on a new helmet (after I finish Kal's which is AMAZING btw). I'm working on concepts right now, so be ready for pics. sometime. lol. I'm going to attempt to describe what I'm going for now though:
Going back to black.
'nuff said.
But no, as much as I love rocking the desert colours I'm in right now, I miss my black and gold. So I'm keeping some of my current colours (the yellow and the red) and going back to the old school A'den K. armour. Mostly. lol. Ya'll shall see what I have in mind.

yeah the T-visor looks much better! The only thing I see now is the arches across the top seem a bit big... kinda comical eyebrowish, but it still looks great! How's the complication on the back looking?

The back is looking REALLY good, I'm quite pleased with it. I need to do some more sanding on it tho...always sanding.

Ooooo, A'den, after seeing the helmet I'm eager to see what the rest of the kit is going to look like. Ordeyn hungry, want more pics. Feed me.

Anyways, I got a lot done on it last night, but nothing today--got in a car wreck and the cops took FOREVER to sort the thing out. So I'm gonna try to get a ton done tommorow to make up for it.

Are you ok? Ur car get busted up? as for the kit, he he well it's not my favorite of the two... but it does look good. I personally think ur black kit was top notch. lol Any sketches or anything for this one?

Yeah, everybody was fine and the car didnt take too much damage.

And I agree Kal, I loved the black kit, that's why I'm going back to it, but I'm making some mods. And no pics yet. Mutter grumble real life mutter.

As for my stuff, it's all in storage (except for my finished buckets of course) since we're still stuck at the parents house. Hopefully we'll be out by March, then I can get back to work for next halloween

20 hours? underachiever! lol jk jk... I had a 20 hr semester or two way back when... I wanted to go ballistic! lol of course the extra time spent on ROTC didn't help either. Good luck on the test! Gonna change the white to tan, gotta damage and blackwash, but it looks pretty good so far.

K i feel so stupid asking such a beginners question.. but what is blackwash? ive heard it a couple of times and still havnt quite understood what it is.
But it looks great man! and someones not as skinny as they used to be haha

Blackwash is taking black paint, mixing it with water, and going to town on the helmet. Makes it look dirty and used. I'll post pics on how I do it.

And lol! Blacksmithy work...and the gym.

If ya'll will notice...this is the A'den K. Mk. I helmet restored to life. I decided building a whole new helmet for myself while kal has a mostly finished helmet in my garage wasnt right...so I broke part of his in an effort to fix it, and then repainted my old bucket. Dont worry Kal, it's like breaking a bone to reset it. It'll be alright in the end.

More colours added, and some damage!

A'd'ika I've had a rough week, how's about some good news? lol How're ur many projects going?

Kal, I feel your pain. I'm shot to hell this week, I have no progress and even less time to finish this than I thought: I need it done AND APPROVED by Dec. 31st so I can march in the fiesta bowl parade. And, in that timeframe we have Christmas (a three day event), a 5 day deer hunt and almost all of my nights after 1600 taken. So, this is gonna get fun!

I really have to stop getting lazy and keep checking these forums daily....... So I can get my once a day drooling session in

MUWAHAHA!!! Kal, your words have inspired me!!! I have finished every plate minus the thighs and cod on my new kit. AND almost all are painted. It's been a longgg day, so be patient for pics, vode.

ha ha wilco ner vod, I know the feeling... I've had 2 flights, 9 SIMs, a mountain of paperwork and more "taskers" than I can count in the last 2 weeks... I've been at work at least 12-16 hrs a day every day and some those days have been 0400 shows...with the average being an 0600. I WISH I could go deer hunting ner vod! That sounds like fun!

HA!!! I'm still not even remotely happy with it, but at least it's wearable and meets specs. After Fiesta Bowl, I already have a list of things that will be changed.



AND I will have thigh plates before fiesta bowl. *gag* I hate not wearing those...
