Dec 2, 2007, 5:37 AM - where to get the right costumeparts? #1

Between my upcoming Zam Wesell costume and
the Boushh I am planing to do, I would also love to make a Boba Fett costume.

Who is the best maker of Boba Fett parts and how much will cost a costume round about?
I saw some sellers on ebay but I am not sure how there quality are.

    hey,

    check this thread out........ http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=17421

it will give u a good general idea of a ball park figure of what a quality built fett can run up to. its all going to depend on How accurate u want to go, and what quality u desire.

as far as who makes the best stuff.........
there are many great vendors on here. best thing to do is check out threads of vendors doing "runs" of there stuff , and progress threads of members who are working on a particular vendors product...

that way too u can get a good look at what a piece looks like painted/ finished up etc.....it will help u decide what u like more and what seems to work for u better. also what material u may want the prop to be made of, some are fibergalss, resin, abs etc...

best thing to is i'd stay away from ebay unless it is someone from here. alot of wasted $$ has come from ppl getting misrepresented props and junk if u will......u will find almost evrything u need RIGHT here

    goodluck on ur costumes

Jluck, thank you for these helpful information.
I have never reconiced how many parts the Boba Fett costume has.
So I think I will start with the flight suit. Where to get this?

You can start with Jason of SGB, Daz over at Bobamaker, Lady Sewforus right here at the TDH or you could try your local seamstress and provide her with the reference material, suit design specs and pics.

    Good luck!

    Stay safe,

    Tim.

    lady fett, niceeee

stay away from ebay for awhile. if you're new to boba fett parts you might either buy something that doesn't go with what you might already have ( ESB vs ROTJ ) or buy from someone who has shoddy craftsmanship.

check out starting off threads (there are a bunch) and read on them for awhile on the best plans of action.

    have fun

My advice for the soft parts would be Ladysewforus, those gals are awesome and very very professional and considerate. Saying that though, they have a rather long list of orders now due to word getting out about them, so ya may have to wait just a tad...

Still its worth the wait.. Hope that helps

And stay away from ebay, that cant be re-iterated enough... most of ebay sellers that have 'boba fett' costume parts that arent recognised here are recasters or innaccurate.. And recasters really dont like the TDH boards mentioned lol If someone is on here selling on ebay however then you wont have to worry too much.

and also be wary of Star Fortress Productions also... they have a very big hit and miss ratio...

    Good luck
