Two Different ROTJ Fetts?

Hey all! I've noticed through different pictures of the ROTJ style Boba Fett have different colored back sides to the helmet. I know the movie version has that base green color, but some images in the THD gallery show that same side as the same color as the blue cheekbones. Would making a helmet based on the blue backside hurt my chances of joining the 501st? I'll probably do it that way anyway (I works a lot better in my opinion) but I'd like to hear from the experts! Thanks.

PS. (both examples are posted in the gallery section of ROTJ Boba Fett. Sorry if my attachments don't work...)

I have noticed this too, but my focus is ESB so have not put much attention to it, that is one for the experts.
As far as 501st membership is concerned, in my opinion you are best to direct membership questions to your GML.

KaanE, while I do understand that lighting greatly affects how the color is portrayed, this image seems to clearly show a blue back that resembles the cheekbones with no chroma differences at all. This is where I'm getting confused...

What you are getting in that picture is a photograph that was taken with an indirect light source plus the reflection of the black bag that is right next to the back of the helmet. If you look at all of the colors in this picture, they are very muted because of no direct lighting. Everything is in shades of grey. Use the Magic of Myth reference photos in the gallery for paint color matching.

Lighting can make way more of a difference than you might think. I don't believe the back to be the same color as the cheeks, and I don't think that would pass 501st review.

There are no different ROTJ Hero helmets, just different lighting (natural and/or artificial).

Note that the Heilman photo was saturated and color corrected.

Thanks guys. I was starting to wonder if it was possibly a stunt helmet or something lol! However... I still think it would be interesting to make my Boba Fett's color scheme more like the color corrected one. I know it's not "screen accurate" but I really like the color scheme in the "Still" shot shown by RafalFett.

If you want a ROTJ Hero replica helmet then the best is to stick to the original colors, but if you want a custom paint that looks like the ROTJ Hero, then you can do whatever color scheme you want.
