New Hunter
Hello everyone. I am sort of new here well actually I have been lurking around here for years but this is my first post. I really didn't want my first post to be me having a problem with something either! I have been a Star Wars fan all since I was 7 and Boba Fett is by far my favorite. I do own a couple of fett helmets one a mystery helmet and the other one a MS helmet.

I have been wanting a FP helmet for some time now and I was looking around eBay and came across one listed. Going back and forth looking at photos on here and the auction they look the same and it was a great price. Well I won the auction and received the helmet from Monteral QC today and I think (but not sure) it is a recast. The reason I say this is I was looking at Aaosk and I hope that is his name posting of his CC helmet and I noticed that the range finder is clear and separate pieces and this one is one piece.

Now I don't know much about CC helmets but this one almost bends like vinyl in a couple of spots.I'm sorry I don't have any pictures to post yet, but I will try and get some posted in the next day or so. This seller has another one up for sale now. I don't know if i am aloud to post the sellers name but you can see it on eBay. It is listed as a Boba Fett FP Helmet.

Thnak you

I just bought a CC from Asok and it doesn't bend anywhere. There is a lot of junk on eBay so most everyone here will advise you to stay away, aside from MOW, who makes some good stuff. Does your helm have an FP logo on the bottom of the visor? I think that it should(my CC does since Asok got the mold from FP.

Fettpride practically never posts his Fett items to ebay and ASOK's coldcast helmets definitely look different. The one on his current ebay listing is definitely a resin recast.

CC means Coldcast, which is a mixture of aluminium powder and resin I believe. Watch out for "evilbay" ! Feel free to ask questions here or send me a pm I'll try to help point you in the right direction if you have questions. For around the same price you can get a Fettpride ColdCast Budget Helmet from Asok you can see them in the Boba Fett Helmet section for details. Just send him a private message if you're interested hes got quality stuff man.

Thank you. Hey Sleepalot I was in Modesto yesterday. I need to get some pictures of it on here so everyone can see it better. Maybe this guy bought a couple of buckets and just needed to unload them ? He had a full suit for sell also. A week or so ago. It wasn't so much the helmet that made me start thinking it is a recast it the whole range finder

Well it is hard to say as I have seen a lot of both lids. I would have to say though it is a good possibility that it is a resin recast just by the simple fact that it sounds like it is thin in spots. Both ASOK's FP lid and FP's MR Premium are well constructed and there are definitely no thin spots in them.

Yes that guy on ebay is a re caster, Ive been watching him for a while. I did report him but ebay probably wont do any thing unless more people report him as a fraud too.

Yep that is a recast of the helmet that I sell. He has sold about 10 in the last few months. The RF stalk that I sell is metal where his is resin. My RF has 3 parts and it looks like his is one part. He was a member of this site and has been banned.

It would be nice if some people would make their own helmet instead of selling a recast of someone else's work.
Asok, your helms rock, but I noticed that I have a small crack in mine(must have happened when I cut out the visor). The crack is only in the CC, it doesn't go all the way through yet, any ideas of how to fix it?

When I cracked my Jango, I used a little modeling glue and then Rub'n'Buff to help hide it. Or if you are going to paint on top of it, I have used the same glue to keep it from getting wore, light sand, and then paint. It added to the weathering.
