New Post Link Issue?

Is anyone else having an issue when you click New Posts?

I get a box that says Page 1 of.... but then doesn't tell you how many pages, and the post count at the bottom changes when you click on the next page (i.e. sometimes it says 1 of 86, then you'll get to page 5 and it will change to 1 of 122 etc)..

I'm using IE8 on Windows 7 (just incase anyone says it's fine in Firefox/Chrome/Safari etc)

Looks like it's once again an IE thing... I see page 1-4 currently. See screen shot of mine below:

Seems like the CSS for the pagination doesn't like Explorer.

I guess "Use Firefox" wouldn't really be taken well?

Thankfully the CSS side of things is something I have nothing to do with... I don't even really have ready access to a box that can run MSIE.

you're seeing the exact same thing as me... it says Page 1 of... then shows 4 pages, but if there are more pages when you click Page 4 it will then add Page 5... so you don't actually know how many pages there are.

On threads that have multiple pages it will show Page 1 of 2, for example, then the links to the two pages

So, I've just clicked New Posts and I saw this:

newpage1.jpg

Then I clicked Page 4 and it added Page 5

newpage2.jpg

So you don't actually know how many pages there are. However on a standard multiple page thread you see this

newpage3.jpg

Hope this clears up my issue :)

Oh, I see what you're saying!

It could just be a quirk of the software. Seems as though it's that way for everyone, so I'm guessing it's just something we'll get used to.

We upgraded last night and this problem should be resolved. Please let me know if there are additional problems.

Reply - I take it back, it hasn't fixed it, it's just changed the issue:

New Post now says 1 of 5 and then shows the 5 page links. I clicked page 2 and it changed to 2 of 6....

Post count at the bottom of the page says 1 to 20 of 96, click page 2 and it then says 21 - 40 of 120....

Guess I'll just have to keep clicking through the pages
