    Introducing me

Hello everyone, I've been looking through the building forums and decided to join after viewing all the great info available. Currently I'm not building any Fett or Mando stuff but I am working on Imperial Knight armor (from the Legacy comics) and a DC-17m blaster. At same time I'm reading the Republic Commando novels and that got me interested in Mando armor, culture, etc. So I started digging and now I'm here. So once again, hello from the middle of California and I hope to both gain and pass on some knowledge.

FYI, the Imperial Knight armor is being built on a fiberglass version of my torso with Dap brand vinyl spackling paste used to form the basic shapes and bondo over that. I'm going to apply some form of mold release on that and cover it in fiberglass, sand it nicely and then pull it off. That way I get one and can make more on the armor mannequin. So I can already answer some questions about those methods. Sorry, no pics as I didn't expect to need them

I honestly think that if I wasnt gonna build a Fett costume, it'd be a toss-up between an Imperial Guard or Boush.

welcome. Looking forward to seeing pics and progress on your IK. Look around here for The Clone Emperor's IK build...it's incredible, and one of the characters in the comics is designed after him; he's even got his own action figure!
