Greetings to all at TDH.....Right now Im working on a Vader reveal helmet,Im making it from an old Don Post,My next project will be a Boba Fett but first I have a question...Since Im low on funds I was thinking of useing one of those Rubies "hard latex" helmets(produced in 97 I beleave) that they sell at Disneys Hollywood Studio's ....The shape and features look right and it seems to be pretty solid though its a bit on the small side wich is ok since I wont be wearing it only useing it as a display piece. My question is does anyone have any experience with one of these helmets and with the right paint job would it make a nice display.

the 1995 version of the don post helmet is generally thought of as being pretty good. the 1997 models... not so much. what you are likely to find now in stores is the really cheap (as in quality) rubies helmets. i couldn't really recommend anyone start with that if there's any other option... scratch building, saving longer, etc...

those are usually around $60 - $80 where i've seen them, and a sgt. fang is $125 i think... so saving a bit longer would get a MUCH better helmet.
