getinfgoo needs a ban

We are trying to determine if this is an isolated event or if we are still open and vulnerable. Please bear with us as we work through it.

This is a widespread problem, not specific to TDH. While we absolutely hate to do it, to better protect our members, we have switched our registration from automatic approval to moderated approval. This means a member of the administration will need to approve each new member. This will be more time consuming, but it should help us put a stop to 90% of the spammers. Thank you for your patience as we deal with this issue.

Unfortunately with the rapid proliferation and evolution of spambots, it has almost become necessity to use moderated registration approval.

As an admin/mod on a couple of forums, I couldn't tolerate the spambots any longer and switched the forums to moderated registrations. I can happily report that the number of automatic spam posts now equals zero.

The obvious downside is that new members need to wait a little while for approval but its a small price to pay for the elimination of spambots.

Keep up the good work guys (y)

We've actually gotten 2 on the Mercs forums within the last week. Thats almost unheard of for us, so the admins and mods are keeping a close eye for increased stupidness. You guys run a tight ship here, so I don't expect to see to many problems. =)
