Hey there everyone. I was wondering if anyone in the Houston area would be interested in making an appearance for Free Comic Book Day at the comic shop I run. In case anyone is not familiar with the event I'll supply a little info. Free Comic Book Day is an annual event to celebrate comics in general but more importantly to help promote literacy in children. It's not always easy to get kids to read but if you put a comic in their hands maybe they'll be encouraged to do a little more of that. Let's face it, anything that promotes reading is a good thing.
We'll be providing free food (probably hot dogs) and drinks for anyone who shows up in costume. Every year has seen a great turnout and I'm sure this year will be just as great. The event takes place on the first Saturday in May. Anyone interested just a reply and I'd be happy to provode more info. Not sure if you can see my personal email in my profile but if so feel free to contact me that way also. Thanks for your time everyone and here's hoping some of youcan make it.
