Hey Everyone,

Ive finally finished my RotJ Boba Fett ready for 501st Approval, which is going through at this moment now. :D

Ill be writing up a full Step by Step Work in Progress that I have done to get to this point with many photos. If someone can PM me how to have thumbnails here to fullsized pics in photobucket that would be very much appreciated, instead of clogging up this thread about it. Im hoping this will become a sticky so that all new members wanting to created a RotJ Fett can take some ideas away from my labours and help them in crisis points :)

Anyways, here are some pics of my Fett, and the link to the 501st Approval Pics. Feel free to comment on them if you like.. btw yes i know the JP harness slipped, its been fixed now :D Hope you like...

The 'Thanks List' (which is very long and distinguished indeed) and the WIP (even longer and full of detailed pics) will follow in the next week or 2... ive got a huge first official (hopefully) troop coming up this weekend and im stoked to have done my suit, with full electronics :D

Until then, keep trooping :D

Is it just connector hoses you need to make it complete? Looks great, can't see any reason why you wouldn't get approval. Are the shoulders a tad low maybe??

How many hoses is there on a ROTJ SE i thought there was only 1? but i know ROTJ is 3 hoses..

suit looks great BTW!... you'll be trooping in no time.

Ive got all 3 RotJ hoses, however im looking for more flexible ones atm.... my ones are a bit stiff... and i clean forgot them for the pic :p whoops :p

From the MoM pics here, and other reference pics, the shoulders are dead on to where they need to be... as im a only 5'5"/5'6"ish which is shorter than most fetts they might look a little out...

I did build a mannequin using pvc, but i dont particularly like having it out, so i built a heavy duty armour box/crate to store them in, in the shape of the scanning crew box.. turned out awesomely, and is lined with convoluted soundproofing foam :)

And yes, minus the Jet Pack which is Bobamakers old Mannequin one, I painted everything, all layered using the Tamiya Spray Cans :) I will be adding topical scratches and damage in the future, just not yet as im a bit broke and ive got a few conventions coming up in the next few weeks :p

Great looking suit. Always a pleasure to meet a (return of the) Jedi (fett)!

I still haven't found more flexible hoses that look right, but I did eventually get the length and connections just right so that they work. It was totally trial and error though.

My only comment is that the helmet looks really clean, especially the ears. I think you nailed the paint job, but it's too clean looking. It could just be the photos too...
