Fett Thumb anyone?

Bobby Fett UK

Well-Known Hunter
Hey guys, been meaning to post this for an age. So the question is, who else gets a numb right thumb after trooping their Boba, and what is the exact cause?

I figure it is to do with the EE-3, but have not yet ruled out the gauntlets, or a combination of both.

Please post up your comments. I thought it was just me, but after talking Boba with another member here post troop he said he thought it was just him too  Is this the best kept secret in Fett trooping?

Rob.

It happens to me with my sandtrooper... I theorize it is a pinch between my bicep and forearm armor.
One time it was numb for a week.

I have the same thing. I believe its the weight of my gaunts resting on a nerve at the top of the thumb. I had a 6 hour troop once and it was sore for two weeks.

Yeah, me too (as you well know Bobby).

I believe my forearms are too short for my Gauntlets, and the forward edge presses on the big vein passing over the wrist to the thumb.

A good friend of mine suggested holding the weapon differently (thanks Mike!), following his guide I did not get Fett Thumb after my latest troop. The following picture shows the position suggested.

I have had the same thing happen to me too. My first gaunts were way too small for my forearms and they must have squeezed some nerves. I was numb for a wekk afterwards. Its like carple tunnel syndrome. My last gauntets were not as bad because I made them a little wider. I have MOW gaunts now and I there is plenty of room inside and at the wrist now.

YEP, been there bro. What made a BIG difference for me was swapping out the RESIN stock with a lightweight wood version.

Happens to me as well, was actually unnerving the last troop and then trying to sew. That really is not fun! But I think its a combination of both the gaunt and the blaster. So I tend to hold it upright more but that causes armor hickies on my forearm too, so I just suck it up!!! Who said wearing Boba was suppose to be comfortable???

I know my arms are too short for the gauntlets and they are so big around as to barley fit and close so when they lock my wrists are in a vise so it has to be the wrist thing. Besides Boba didnt have any nerves to pinch he was stone cold blooded !
