An all new look for TDH

We are pretty excited to reveal the all-new look for TDH. We have been running on a "broken" theme for a number of years but have not had the resources to rebuild it the way we wanted and finally we do! I know this is quite a change from the dreary dark look that we had before, but give it a couple of days and I think you will find that it is actually far more "readable" than the previous look and more consistent and fresh!

If you find any problems like broken images or anything that doesn't appear to be working properly, please list it here.
 
Honestly, what we need to do is create the same setup here as we have at the RPF and 405th. Right now it only takes 5 posts and 5 days before someone can sell here. We need to update to our standard of 90 days and 50 posts which would also allow us to make it so that full members don't see ads.

THIS^^^^ is something Ive asked Scott about a while ago...I like it.
 
Whoa........logged back in and it is all different.....

But it looks good, and I like the format suggestion on the longer days and more posts....

It definitely is easier on the eyes. Light text on a dark background is great for an eye-catching sign or header, but studies show it puts a lot of strain on the eyes for big blocks of text. We are glad to finally be putting that chapter behind us and moving on to a clean, modern, light theme.
 
There was mention of a "premium" membership, does that mean that a paid subscription is something that may be brought in at a later date? While I am not a member of the RPF, I have read that there is a paid membership to be able to sell items on that site, is that something that is going to happen here eventually?

Very very unlikely.
 
Great new look! It's much easier to read. My phone especially had a hard time with the dark background and lighter text, so this works perfectly!

...now to only make it ROTJ themed... ;)

Personally I struggle with the new colours and they hurt my eyes (all bright sites do) but I like the fact that the wiki seems to be making a comeback on the top toolbar but disappointed about the recent post on the articles although I note nothing was lost - where are they now; are they stickies and how can we find them? Glad that premium membership a la RPF is very very unlikely but curious how the site would keep running with no membership and a reduction in ads as seems to be implied. Overall the 50 posts/90 days doesn't seem unreasonable way to encourage membership and contribution over pure selling.

I think I know the answer to this but will there be any way for me to adjust my settings to alter the colour scheme to suit my eyes either now or in the future?

Andy,

The articles regarding the PP2 Replicas are stickied at the top of the Helmet forum. The article for the gauntlets are stickied at the top of the Costume forum.

The articles regarding the As You Wish project all reside in the Sarlaac Pit. Just look up "As You Wish" there and you can find them all.

While we have reduced ads and aren't likely to ever have a Premium Membership here, we are still able to keep the ship afloat. No worries. TDH isn't going anywhere.

Very unlikely to have a color change as this has become our standard across all our sites, which is derived from a combination of Facebook, Google, eBay and Apple.
