Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.

Unfortunately we were not able to migrate avatars from the old board to the new. Hopefully you saved your avatar from the old board and can simply upload it here. If not, you will need to create a new avatar and upload it.

The maximum size of your avatar is 60 by 60 pixels or 20.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE UPLOAD YOUR AVATAR TO OUR SERVER! PLEASE DO NOT USE ANOTHER SERVER HOST YOUR FOR AVATAR!!

We have plenty of server space and bandwidth to hold everyone's avatar and by uploading your avatar instead of linking to it at another location, the board will run faster as it will not have to go to other location on the internet to get your avatar.

If you are not able to crop/resize an image to match the above specifications, please PM me, tylerdurden or dustincropsboy and we will be glad to help you.

To upload your avatar:

Click my Helmet in upper left of screen on menu bar.
Click Edit Avatar from the Settings & Options menu on the left hand side of the Control Panel.
Click the Browse button in the Custom Avatar section.
Select your avatar image file from your local hard drive and click OK.
Click Save Changes.

When you upload your new avatar, you get an error saying the avatar was not successfully uploaded when in fact it was. This happenned to my personal picture as well.

Did you uplaod something too big? The limit is 60 pixels and 20 kb for avatars and 100 pixels and 50kb for profile pics. So you will need to resize.

No I did resize it. I'll try to reproduce it if possible.

Edit:

Tried to reproduce it and now I can't. It may only be when there is no avatar uploaded that this occurs. In any event, its not a big problem. I thought some folks might get confused. I know I did.
