X-Mas Present For My Brother

This time last year I was going through one of the worst times of my life, I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 4 years and my job was heading down the toilet, needless to say it was easily one of the worst Christmases I have ever experienced and I was determined that 2008 was going to be better. My older brother Ben has really given me the kick up the backside that I needed and helped me to realise that things can and do get better, so as a small thank you I decided to do something a little different for him for Christmas, he is a HUGE Battlestar Galactica fan and so I go hold of one of the Revell Colonial Viper kits and decided to build and paint it up for him as he is absolutely useless at it Just a small way of saying thanks to him for helping me out, here it is right now from primer to paint, I tossed the decals as they were appalling and painted all the stripes by hand, I will have final pics up in a few days, thank you for reading this

Mounted on the stand and 99% done, final weathering will finish it off nicely

Hey guys, yeah Christmas has come and gone and yeah he loved it!!! He reminded me that when we were kids we both had the original Revell kit vipers and that we built and painted them, of course the results were less than great seeing as we were both about 10 years old, so he was really pleased with it, thanks for all the kind words

That's amazing, that's one of the best Vipers I've seen in a while. Is it just me, or does Battlestar seem to just attract Star Wars fans like none other.
