What's in the box? Pulce 40

It feels almost the same in weight as the original, but on the scale it is a bit heavier.

Original Pulce 40: 21 ounces
My new resin copy: 22 ounces

It doesn't feel heavy walking around my apartment with it. Also if I use the stiffer material with the aluminum powder, the weight will change a bit. I think the dark brown material is a bit more dense than the firmer stuff. It holds shape well and also has a slight give to it, like a superball but not so rubbery. You could drop it from 10 feet and most likely nothing will break or crack (but you never know). If you grab the barrel and push you can get about 1/4 inch of bend, but it doesn't sag or anything. I think that in the end I may get a material that is just a bit more firm, but not the brittle stuff.

As for selling some copies, here is my interest thread in the Boba Fett Costume section:

I painted the barrel with a metallic matte nickel paint. It is the closest I have found to the actual finish

I then masked off the barrel and threw on some red. The pic colors are off a bit from the flash, but you get the idea. I will sand and do another coat and we can check it out roughly painted with no weathering.

Here is a pic after the first test paint.

I rushed it so there are some area's that I need to fix. I just wanted to get a good idea of the finished product, and look for any flaws or anything that would show up more once it is painted. All in all, I am very pleased with the end results.

I did post an interest thread in the Boba Fett Costume area. Since the build is complete, I see no need in continuing both threads so my continuation with this project will be on the interest thread. Here is the link:

I don't have any pics to post yet, but I am working on a mod for the sidearm. I did a cast of the trigger only and got some roll pins and springs. I am going to attempt to mod it so the trigger works with spring action. I plan to cut off the old trigger, drill out an angled hole, screw a spring into this hole and stretch it to the trigger front to add tension to the trigger. Then with the trigger attached to the body with a roll pin to pivot on, it should effectively become a spring loaded functional trigger. If it is successful, I will build a small kit and make it available for those who have one of my sidearms.

...anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this that may work better than my idea?
