Wet Clay Mold?

Anyone ever tried pouring 20 lbs of wet watery clay into a helmet mold and letting it cure, demolding then sculpting into the clay?

Im curious:)

Thanks

Right idea, wrong clay. I've done just that to resculpt a gauntlet, but used heated plasticine clay. It's an oil based clay (without sulfur) that you can heat to a liquid and pour or brush into a mold, but when cooled you can sculpt it. Water based clay becomes very brittle when it dries, plus it can shrink and crack.
