weathering
I am in the process of scratch building an EE-3 blaster and will soon be painting it. I want to give it a really battered, old and almost rusty llook. Does anyone now how to get the rusty look? the scratches and dents are not a problem but the rust i can see is going to be.

Re: weathering
wash it with watered down brown/orange acrilic and then dab it off with a clean tissue, works great.

Re: weathering
go with fettsters method. also, i would use a grey primer as the color. speckle it with black, rub it in the dirt, etc.

Re: weathering
You could also try dry brushing on chalk pastel powder, "Burnt Sienna" has a nice rust, dirt looking quality.
