... but I think I'll start by making it a wall mount taxidermy style from the neck up...

Did you realize that it would be a Replica-Prop if you did? ;)

Ever see the Taun-Taun Head mounted on the wall on the right in Jabba's Palace...?:)

Thanks you guys, all your comments motivate me. Getting close to molding, just have the right side horn to sculpt. Then I gotta think about how to form the neck and fur the thing.

Man I am sitting at work flipping out over this sculpt. My boss walks up to see what I am talking about an says " Holy **** is that a TaunTaun??!!" Very cool man. You made my work day a little brighter!

Do you have any idea on what kind of fur you will be using?

Any more updates on your tauntaun Russ????????? Are you still thinking of making a neck as well so you can do the "shoulder mount"??? ;)

Well it's nearly ready to mold, just a little clean up left to do. Then I just got to get the funds together for the mold. About $400 or so for the silicone, fiberglass, and casting supplies. Plus I've been busy with work and other projects. But don't worry, I'll get to it as soon as I can. I'd like to get an "interested" list going.
The neck I was going to do as a one off. Attach the head to the wall mount and build a neck around the armature from the head to the mount. Build it out of foam, and glue fur to it. Still working that out. Thanks all again for following this project. Keep you posted.

you must be loaded to afford to be able to make a mold for that thing

That is truly magnificent. Hands down one of the coolest original pieces i've ever seen
