    Sticky resin?

    Hey guys,

I have a bucket here that I washed 3 times in the sink, and wiped down with alcohol twice... Its still got sticky spots... Do I just have to wait it out, or can wash it with something else to dry it out?

These are what causes hot spots when you paint, and I'm ready to paint... lol...

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Shawn

Shawn, is the sticky resin from the bucket or did you use resin to fill in some spots? Either way I think you may just need to wait it out.

No, its from the bucket... I gave it another good sanding, and all SEEMS well. We'll see as I'm taping her up for paint right now.

bad resin / bad mix usually.

i find those spots tend to keep bleeding through. if there are only a few, it may be worth just cutting them out and filling the gaps with epoxy putty.
