I agree with the others bro, looks to much like makeup. Should have left it alone. I went home last night after seeing this thread and I darkend mine up a bit more. I'll post some pics later tonight.
Yes, change it back.
I think it looks amazing, you've done a great job turning an already great helmet into a fantastic helmet
I don't know Nate. I kind of liked the first one, but the second isn't bad. That's what I love about sandy buckets... you really are never "wrong"
I do the same weathering with acrylic. You could grab some more tans for the eyes if you wanted to make another change.
I do a little different technique, but you get the same idea...
I'll start a new thread with some of my TKs. I don't want to take away from your awesome work here. I'm still amazed this is a CE...
Well since everyone hates the new paint under the eyes,
I'll toss this one in the trash & start over
needs more sand...
I don't want to see any white left!
good job man
I went to fix the eyeshadow problem
clipped the door knob on the way outof the "Star War Room"
And dropped the helmet on the tile floor.
Looks like it's been dropped, banged up, and dragged thru a sandstorm...
In other words, an amazing job!!!
Really nice job.
Nice work - I like both - hopefully it survived the fall.
Beautiful job, mate!
Yes it looks awesome - great job - sort of odd juxtaposition... Sandtrooper on the infield... looks like you slid into home plate.
Again.. great Job.
That is just way to cool!
Haha! That is pretty awesome!
That's really good work, kudos to you. The weathering is truly superb my friend.
Wow, that's gorgeous work! And I agree that the pics on the baseball field rock!
Thank you again everyone.
I truly appreciate the compliments.
How long did the painting process actually last for the sand part itself? Curious to how many coats you used as well.
really love the way it came out good job
