It's a Master Replicas CE with a few mods.
(For those that don't know, these are about a hundred bucks.)

Yep, I've got an MR along with my AP bucket. I just can't bring myself to tear apart the MR and do the mods yet.

sweet Jesus Nate... a few mods...

I'd say there are close to 10-15 mods to make a CE look that good...

I'm almost embarrassed... I'm a TK guy and you fooled me...

    Thank you.
    The mods that I did are;
    1. Fill/sand the seams
    2. File out the teeth
    3. Replace ears, lenses, mic tips, and brow trim
    4. Cut brow higher
    5. Repaint.

Total cost? Still at least $125 and several hours of work cheaper than building an AP kit. Nice work, Nate!

I've got to agree with Turo. The sand under the eyes seems like eye shadow or something.

    Not really.
The helmet , blasters, packs, & armor change so much between scenes that I couldn't pin-point just one.

    Of course
That's why I'm trying to finish this Sandy in time.

Too bad I'm not gonna wear the Boba with your HIC there.

I got the helmet on the RPF for $84 shipped
The new tube stripes were $8
    The ears were $25
The lenses were cut from extra Face-shield used for Boba $0
    Paint was under $5
so, I guess that would be $122

I agree with the others bro, looks to much like makeup. Should have left it alone. I went home last night after seeing this thread and I darkend mine up a bit more. I'll post some pics later tonight.

Re: slave1pilot's newest Helmet paintjob FINISHED

I don't know Nate. I kind of liked the first one, but the second isn't bad. That's what I love about sandy buckets... you really are never "wrong"

I do the same weathering with acrylic. You could grab some more tans for the eyes if you wanted to make another change.

I do a little different technique, but you get the same idea...

I'll start a new thread with some of my TKs. I don't want to take away from your awesome work here. I'm still amazed this is a CE...

    So...
I went to fix the eyeshadow problem
clipped the door knob on the way outof the "Star War Room"
And dropped the helmet on the tile floor.

In other words, an amazing job!!!

How long did the painting process actually last for the sand part itself? Curious to how many coats you used as well.
