What thickness of sintra is best for a buy'ce and beskar'gam? :fettchest
Well.. for the Helmet I used 1mm Sintra (You double this by using x1 the inner surface template x1 outer surface template) and the best for Armour is probably 3mm
Hope that helps? ;)

Welcome...
For a helmet, it's a lot of work to get sintra to look good. Go ahead and try (I would use 3mm), but if I were you I'd save for a fibreglass bucket. As for the body armour, 3mm is okay, but it looks nowhere near as good as 6mm. I've gotten 6mm sintra to look as good as fibreglass armour. The thickness gives you a lot to work with. It depends a lot on how much effort you put into the process. While I'll still make 3mm armour for others, as long as I'm using sintra armour for myself, I won't use anything other than 6mm.
Yeah, I was thinking the thicker the better for dents, scratches, and whatnot...
I agree to a certian degree... only as using 6mm is allot harder to work with?
If your concerned about the thickness (at the edges) to give the arour the appearance of being thicker. Use 3mm as the armour plate then trace around your 'breast' plate *example* then create a 6mm border cut and glue to the underside of first plate. Then bit of sanding to round the edges a little - hey presto thinner/easier armour to mould and but thicker at the edges for realism? ;)
