ROTJ SNOWBOARD HELMET!? YEAHHHHHHHH!

I recently went snowboarding and decided I needed to paint my snowboard helmet in a ROTJ scheme...
I started with the red as a reference point for the upper and lower pieces.

I thought to myself why not! anything Boba is good! it made me think that when the dry comes in, I might make it a thing to spray up my quad bike lid, cant wait to see it finished, so well done!(y)

I finished up the Kill stripes, Key Slots, weathering and Scratches!
I didn't use a silver coat or primer as a base. I Sanded with 400 grit to give the paint a little something to bite on.
Those are "Back Flip Stripes" ;-)

And The Dent... I'm not a master of the brush arts. Hopefully it's enough skill to convey a "Dent" and convince other Fellow Star Wars Enthusiasts on the Mountain!

I'd like to mention a little weathering tip-
My Nylon airbrush cleaning brush- It's coarse... Very Coarse... I glanced over at it while painting the silver scratches on with a tiny brush... It clicked: "Hey, Dummie, If you dab the bristles in the silver, and give it a light brushing on the helmet, it'll look like scratches!"
And this is my new weathering apparatus time saver:

Freakin awesome!!! If only there was snow in FL I would so do this. Well I guess there is snow in Miami, but that is a different kind:)

lol nice one Grinch .. Awesome paint-up NGTMD.. i have been wanting to do something like this for my nephews baseball helmet .. but couldn't quite work out how to make it look right. You made it work very well... Great job

Giro. I only bought the helmet to mount my GoPro- I never used a helmet (Even though I'm in the terrain park the whole time and the Half pipe!) I actually love. It's comfortable as hell... and ironically enough, I never really hit my head too hard (As if "too" isn't hard enough to go out and buy a helmet!)
But the second time I wore this thing, I whopped my head on an icy half pipe and knocked off the part that secures the goggles on the back... Fun fact! -First time using GoPro and First time really messing around with Adobe Premier Killington Banana - YouTube

Hey, Friends! Thanks for the compliments. I want to see someone else do a Snow Board/Ski Fett Helmet paint job!
I still get high fives when I wear this helmet boarding.
