here is a way to make the mask on your own.in the video the fabric he uses is from a tank top but i bet it would look way better using tights or spandex
ok thats verry important i dont want to end up dead in a mask that just looked good!
i found it verry important that there are no toxics in the paint.
please send me a PM for your Paypal so i can pay for a mask.
thanks for your great help and perfecting the mask with the heat activated paint
Thanks for the updates Kody!
Definitely following this thread from now on
I almost abandoned my Rorshach cosplay due to the vast number that are appearing and while I'd really like to try and make my own moving mask to put me apart from the others I think it would be more expensive and less proffesional than what Kwally is making!
Eagerly awaiting an update on this one!
For sure. There's gonna be tons of Rorschachs running around. So, the only way to set yourself apart is to have an amazing costume. And have a moving mask.
I can't sleep I want this so much. Heh.
I feel a bit guilty about buying a mask instead of trying to make it myself but for something on this scale I'd be much more confident getting the assistance of a pro like Kwally.
Just wanted to let everyone know that a video of the mask and the buy thread will be up TODAY FOR SURE!! I spent all day yesterday making masks, and I have quite a few finished masks. As I stated before, the list will be first come first serve. So if you pay first, you get the first mask. Also, I have been experimenting with a "jagged edge" print as many have suggested. It is the same pattern but some of the edges are not 100% crisp lines like the sample print I posted earlier. If you would be interested in one of these, be sure to let me know. I will post A LOT more information in the buy thread.
awesome, Paypal ready Kwally
PayPal ready. I just hope I can get in the queue before they're all gone.
BUY THREAD UP!! Make sure you specify in the payment details that you are from the dented helmet. PLEASE INCLUDE USERNAME!
Sorry about stealing your thunder. :P
Oh! Could you post a picture of the jagged-edge version here? I'm actually kind of curious about that after hearing about it.
Paid! Can't wait to see it in person.
Think we could score the jagged-edge pictures here? Wish I could sign up on the RPF to see pics. :/
Exactly what I posted on the RPF:
Well...I tried to take some pics of the "blurred" edges but the ink is so black that the pics washed out the edges. The edges are more blurred and stippled...it is kind of hard to explain. Honestly, either version will suffice because only you will tell the difference between the two. I am going to try another technique to get washed out edges and an asymmetrical blot. The only problem with the blurred versions is it is REALLY hard to get the thermochromic layer completely in the middle. I notice these things because I am weird and a perfectionist. More than likely, this will add to the asymmetry which is what some of you desire.
On to the pictures....they show little to nothing. ENJOY !
Well! I think I'm gonna stick with the jagged-edge version, if that's cool with you. I'm trying to go the movie route with my costume.
Thanks for the pictures, man.

Any suggestions for techniques on putting seeing holes in it?
