Dec 31, 2014, 7:37 PM - Recommended thickness and material for metal plating #1

I am planning on making a suit of armour, mandalorian armour in particular, out of steel, or possibly aluminum, if I've got the money for it. I was wondering how thick the plating for it ought to be. Anyone who has made metal armour, I would appreciate any recommendations about thickness of the plating, or what material to use.

There's a like 5 part series on you tube called Besak'gam by one of the vods from the Mercs. Not only is it a great example of armor shaping he also mentions the thickness of the aluminum he used.

The armor would be very heavy but if you can get a hold of a cast here is how you can get your aluminum hopefully this will help https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lSoWxG30rb0
