PU Casting Resin
First post ..... a quick hello. I'm currently in the embryonic stages of my mid-life crisis and prop making is my vice of choice. Totally new to it but loving ever hour I can find to do it and learning as I go. Thanks to all for the inspiration.
Anyway, to business:
Has anyone used Sika G26 Casting Resin for slush casting? I'd be very grateful for any comments. Good for a noob or am I trying to run before I can walk..?
Thanks v much

Re: PU Casting Resin
Not familiar with it. The only difference between the 'slush casting' plastics and regular plastics is their viscosity and their set times.
With the roto/slush cast resins, the viscosity is thicker and the slush times a bit slower, but build up with heat. This allows the resin to bond and build up as you go.
Everyone has a slightly different technique, so its really what you prefer. I have used small amounts of a quick set regular 2 part plastic from alumilite, and had it work as well as smoothcast roto from smoothon, because of the part and the technique.
