Yep, ive made countless molds off my pieces using liquid latex. Just make sure when u paint it on you let each layer dry completely before doing the next layer. Also when you are about 3 or 4 layers deep, i would lay down strips of "cheese cloth", it helps give the latex strength and will protect it from tearing when you remove it from your piece.
Excellent, thanks for the advice. Also, am I right in thinking vaseline would be a good release agent to get fibreglass out of the mold?
yes that should work, i use a soap/oil called "Murphys oil" its served me well so far.
