I agree with bobaGoat . . .

    The box cutter works . . . .BUT !

It takes a sort of coordination so that it does not

look like a sophmoric job. When you start to cut, keep a

study hand and a consistant hand motion.

When you are done. you can sand off to smooth the

    edges . . .

    Fett The Hunter . . .

You can get extra scraps of Sintra for free if you know of the right science

Labortories in your area. They always have extra scraps of the stuff.

Syntra is an awesome plastic to work with, I just made a vader buckle as a test in only 40 mins ,I also got to spray paint it as well. The rest of my future Vader suit will be in Syntra due to the fact that I can shape it and add layers of more syntra with Bondo to give it a right good look. Syntra is indeed great for many projects. OH yeah and talk about getting it for free ,so far all the times I've been to the warehouse were they manufacture the stuff ,someone always gives it to me for free because its always lying around.

I dont think there are any science labs near me

I'm suspecting that Sintra goes under a different name in Britain ?

Re: Merged: How-To / Working with Sintra

Sintra not available in the UK. Their Occupational Health Ministry knows of it's carcinogenic properties when dust from cutting and sanding or the fumes of burning/melting Sintra. I send sheets of it to friends over there. It costs about $60 to send 3 2'x3' sheets by Global Priority and $30 for super slow boat that will not get there in under 8-10 weeks.

    Good luck.
