I ordered this resin Jawa blaster kit and droid caller. I found a really awesome site showing how to do a woodgrain faux finish (http://www.sci-fire.com/). Can anyone help me out with instructions for the best way to faux paint the metallic finishes? Thanks guys!

For metallics, I've had good results with Testors Metalizer paints. They come in small bottles if you have an airbrush, or spray cans. They give a good metallic look and you can buff them to a high sheen, or leave them more "matte."
I'd recommend using the clear coat if you go that route to prevent marks & fingerprints from handling.
BTW, that wood grain tutorial from sci-fire is outstanding!

That woodgraining tutorial is awesome, right? Your technique sounds great. I also thought about, once the primer has dried, spraying a coat of pewter then a coat of matte finish gold, followed by a coat of matte black then using either some sandpaper or steel wool, lightly go over parts of it so the gold and pewter show for the worn-in look. Anyone else tried that?
