Mini Fan!

I have a mini fan i ripped out of my broken lap top. It has a yellow, red and black wires coming out of it. (3 total) Which do I hook up to the positive and a negative on a battery? And how do I hook this up to a switch? If anyone has some tips on wiring this, any help would be great.

well, I found out....3ed try and it worked. Still need some help on wiring to a switch.

Note to self, red=positive, black=negative dont mess with yellow!

You are probably better off getting a battery holder with a switch. All you have to do is connect the black and red wires together and you're golden. The yellow wire is for RPM readings when it was hooked up to your laptop.

I am just fooling around for the time being, but how much would one of those cost?

Boxes like that come at a couple of $. They're not expensive at all. You can probably get them at Radioshack.
