I am making a mini fett. My son wants to troop with me. I will be posting pics soon. This is a budget fett so I do not want to break the bank so I will be scratch building when possible.

Do people really make stuff in that size for 6 year olds? i do not really see much on e bay for that but the again if I found everything I wanted on the Bay .. I wouldn't be here would I?

Soft parts have to be custom made - won't find them on eBay typically. I had SGB make the soft parts for my 10 year old son, but he is no longer doing those. Also WOF has armor templates, but looks like you have that already.

WOOHOO LadySewforus You Rock! the armor is adhereing to the vest as we speak. It was awesome to get off duty and find find the package at my door. All the parts were exactly the right size. Also replaced my scratch built Helmet with a rubies. I hope to get some pics soon. Now I need to find a cape and wookie braids and the dreaded jet pack.

got a few progress pic and a Huge thanks to Cruzer and LadySewForus for their huge contributions. looks like I need to seal up the guants a little better. Pad the pouches a little better as well.

actually he's mine! if people would not post from my computer Sith chick. The above pic were posted by me. Without realizing someone in my house had commandeered my computer for own Dark purposes. I posted them think it was MY account online not sith chicks. I can't wait to get the knee armor done and I am planning on using craft foam ( and goop thank wickedbeard) to mold the shoes. Does anyone else have a little fett already?
Are there any mini jet pack templates or designs?
How about knees has anyone made these what do you suggest?

A couple of quick suggestions...

You can use a piano hinge with the inner rod removed to lock that gaunt down. Just use a small section and then create an L shaped insert (like an allen wrench) and insert it to keep it together. You can also use a piece of craft foam with velcro on the inside of the gaunt, I did something similar for my son.

I made the knees for my son's suit out of sintra. I think they turned out really well. Let me see if I can fin a pic for ya.

Suit is looking good so far sarge!

very cool thanks. Those are great Ideas. I was very puzzled about how to keep the guants closed on his little forearms. gonna use plant ceiling hooks ( the part that goes into the ceiling.... to keep the hose in the sleeves.

Next project.....Jet Pack!!

I got 3 jet pack chasis done. They are light enough to hold on with velcro ( generous amounts). I am just looking for a decent shape for the mini missle that would be light???? I know I went overboard but I had A LOT of Extra parts and paint after the first one.:jet pack

also looking for inexpensive rifle maybe the pre pro. Seems small enough yet acurate enough to be usable as he gets bigger and his suit takes on the more large version.
