Looking for metal Webley replica

New Hunter
Hi. I'm new to The Dented Helmet but I've been doing some SW costuming for several years now. My next big project is to put together an ESB version Fett. I am looking for a nice metal replica of the Webley No1 Mk1 so that I can get a start on the blaster at this time. I currently own a real Sterling and a real MG 15 for my stormtrooper rig so I'm not really interested in resin or hyperfirm for the Webley. I've found old links at this site through numerous Google searchs lately and it seems that at times runs of metal Webley replicas have been available. I tried to e-mail the Hand-Schaub guy but never got a reply and I'd really like to have one of the bronze replicas which to me would be my best option outside of owning the real thing. Can anybody help me on my quest here? Any assist would be greatly appreciated.

Keep an eye out for the real thing. I was able to get one and just missed another.

One part I am missing, the M-19/M-42 scope. If anyone knows where I can pick up a new one of those for my real sterling kit I'd kiss you (and pay for it of course too)

i just waited and watched. when a bronze webley came up, i jumped.

i'd say just sock away $500 or so and have it waiting, then make a habit of checking the cargo hold regularly.

good luck. they are GREAT collectibles! some day i hope to get a real webley, but until then, this is the next best thing!

I actually have some of the parts already done im metal, but I havent taken the time to make the rest of the graphite molds.

I guess im curious, if I could offer a webley, in metal, either bronze or cast aluminum, how many people would want them for under 500?

Because its doable, but id have 2k in just the graphite before I was done. Not to mention tooling, aluminum etc.

If I had a list of 10-20, id likely finish the project.

The problem is im expecging like 3-4 k costs to get the thing done. Imt alking machined graphite molds, cast aluminum everything.

Even the name _could_ be cnc'd into it.

No way do I go into something like that without a list:)

assuming you wouldn't collect funds and start the project until next year i would be in.

a finished rifle goes for $400-500, so a replica webley casting for the same price sounds awesome. the more real parts on the gun the better. i hate the thought of a mash of cheap resin parts glued together. i want it to feel real when i hold it.

I would make all the parts out of metal, alum and bronze.

Th barrell would be 2 piece press fit.

The gun body would be solid. Mostly because I wouldnt want the legality of making a part that could work, meaning selling black markt firearms.

The small pieces, would be cast off the real thing.

We looked at how the real gun was made.

If I had a list of 20, I would do the project, shipped US <= 500

Actually, I have one of Hand-Schaub's bronze Webleys. I've gathered much of the parts for it, save the scope. But, it's not been finished. Just has the wood stock, and the stock's greeblies added-

Had it for many years now, as my ESB Fett continues to wait to be finished.

It's possible I could be enticed to trade it away for **** nice ESB finished accurate blaster plus some cash. Times are tough here, otherwise I wouldn't think of offering it up.
