Joker Hexagon Fabric Print Interest

on the vector -
I'd be willing to vector it manually
meaning it would not smoothed out or anything.
or just try inkscape its a much better vector program than adobe offers... trust me.

Yeah, I'd like to know the width as well. If I can possibly get a XL short sleeve shirt out of 2 yards, I might be able to swing this. If not, I'll have to back out. :cry

im pretty sure u need more then 2yrds for xl my friend...think someone said u need like 3-4 yards just for a medium...i could be wrong but thought i read that...its a shame people are backing out...i hope this wont jack up the price now =(....and could someone please comment on the color i posted if its good or not i really think thats the color we need!!! lol

CT Joker,

I do like your pattern and color best. It is perhaps the best. My favorite.

I think I can still manage that fabric... 5 yards. How much, Kwally are you charging for sewing the shirts?

I was hoping for around $20 a yard, but I must be too naive about custom printed stuff.

If the payment date were another month away, I could probably still go for 3 or 4 yards, but then they wouldn't be ready for Halloween. I wish the government weren't such 'tards, then I might have that stupid stimulus check by now and I could still be in on this.

Well I'm trying to see if I know anyone else who would like a shot at having a shirt or anything else in that pattern for that matter.
I cant tell my exact yardage at the moment - but if its 60" fabric you can get away with 3 yards IF you're very careful

I would suggest once you have the numbers from one company, to take it to another. I think you can get this down to 15 ish dollars a yard. But you have to play their game:)

Has anyone looked at DPI-SF.com?

I used them for a project at work, it was fairly affordable.

Now around $15 I could definitely do. If there was time to say to the company "Well, I'm going to check a few other companies for price quotes too, so I'll get back to you", they might lower the price in competition.

Yeah, you could pull the old Axl Rose on 'em and get an amazing price...

Screw them over like Geffen Records.

$35 dollars a yard is pretty good for custom print, but I really have never seen any fabric cost near that much from any retail fabric store. I mean, the occasional $20/yard fabric pops up now and then (like heavy heavy overcoat style wool in an unusual color, like purple) But for a poly-cotton blend, heck no. It's just because of the printing, which is inkjet, and we can do better.

NOW THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.....I HAVE A PRICE QUOTE!!!! Que the music!!!! A little drum roll please...and here...we...GO! Hahah! Anyways, my rough estimate plus a couple dollars per yard for shipping is going to be about $34-$35 a yard...now, I'm VERY satisfied with that price!!! It is also going to be on a 65-35 poly cotton blend! I'm going to call my sales rep tonight to go over the actual design and emphasize that it all must line up. I hope that doesn't jack up the price! NOW WE NEED THE FINAL DESIGN IN VECTOR!!! Enjoy my friends!
I am Also Still Pumped and In!!! Getting the shirt I want with a pattern I love on fabric that will hold the seams and still be extremly comfortable. I still want enough for 2 shirts (sm/XSish) If you are still able to make mine let me know and I get you my Measurements and have you decide how much I need Rounded up. Cant Wait!!!:love:thumbsup::love

now its the waiting game..we sit and wait for him to talk to his printer person tonight...and hopefully in the color i put on the design cuz i think when it bleeds it will give the fabric that darker color look we need

and yes 30-35 isnt to bad for this but i wish it was lower of course...but i could still handle that i guess

Their prices seem to run around 7.50 a sq foot. On 60in fabric 1 yrd is 15 sq feet - thats 112.50 a yard. But they're high volume pricing is different obviously.
But if they can get their pricing down from 112.50 a yard to under 35.00 a yard I'll be very impressed.

No most retail fabrics arent over 20. I've dealt with 35 dollar a yard beaded french lace before - and 25 dollar designer velvet.
What we're dealing with here is a custom niche market fabric and you pay more for custom no matter WHAT it is.
Its not going to benefit the manufacturer in the long term so its pricier.

Hey the pattern Dosnt line up, but its not hard to get to line up. I've taken Pinders designs and made ties outta them pretty easily all you need to do is copy the image and stack it on top of the other and slide it down till it matches the first image. then all you need to do is cut off the design where it would stack onto the next pattern with no need to carefully arange it. You'd have to do and it horizontally as well. I havnt tried to do this myself all I have is Paint on my computer, but the hardest part would be to if need fit it diagnally together to keep everything connecting correctly. Im sure theres an easier way I'd just assume not really push it at this juncture being so close to the order time and for the Sake of Pinder's cross eye's. So If we want to try and alter it Fine if we dont and just want to let it be even better. I dont think it would hurt the look of the shirt in the least.

Man, the price is much higher than expected..I was looking more at the 20 dollar range per yd.. I'm still in but worrying someone will grab hold of this pattern and we'll get the shirt much cheaper later on. Eventually we all know this shirt will be released sometime before Halloween by a large costume maker much cheaper and completed..I have to think about this now. My purple coat is high quality made by professional costume makers for 215 bucks. If I need 4 yds of this shirt and after having someone make it I would have paid the same for this shirt as the jacket! Ouch..

Admittedly I've never seen a major costume maker produce something that I would wear. But thats me being anal retentive like that.

Every pattern I've seen put up for the joker shirt eventually makes it on Ebay. I'm sure someone will grab pinders work also as its the best I've seen. Maybe I'm wrong but just worried..the shirt doesn't show that much when you have everything on so looking at near 200 bucks with a completed shirt is worrying me..I came to this site cause I was trying to avoid that kinda price. I know kwally and pinder worked hard on this and if it can't get lower I understand. I'm still in but I hope Kwally haggles with the guy or something.

Yeah, the price is high, but im not saying no to 2 yards. I just need a day to check with a local tailor to see how much they charge to make a shirt.

do we even have a finished design!? are we using that light purple or sumthing darker like what i posted?? we cant talk to a company and not show them a design id assume so we need to nail down the final design and colors like NOW and then see if we cant swindle the price down a few bucks i suppose. but i supposed that paying 35$ for say 4yds = 140$...and i guess thats not THAT bad seeing has there is a pattern on ebay tryin to sell for 750 that is fully sew together to but still thats crazy. and they wont budge on price i asked them before and they wont do it. and i like sithcamaros..but he also has a big asking price thats not 120$. i dont see the price dropping on this from any company..plus we cant dilly dally with pricing to much unless u try say 1 or 2 companys like today say you have a large order and wanted to see if they could do it for 20-30$ a yard...if not go with your first choice so they can get printing so kwally can get the fabric in the mail and get to cutting and shippign which will be time consuming. granted its about 2 months until halloween...it will be here before you know it
