JOKER HEXAGON FABRIC ORDER!! $26 a yd!!

I just wanted to bring to everyone's attention the quality of TDH user Elvx's character. Not only did he not message me before the refund cut off date (now I'm stuck paying for his fabric), but he opened a paypal dispute and has said very berating things toward me. This is an email:

I'm sure that a number of you guys are disappointed that the fabric didn't get here by Halloween....I'm truly sorry....It really is out of my hands....I hope that everyone is still satisfied with the fabric, and I would love to see the finished products!!!

Just thought I'd bring it to your attention as he's bound to say more stuff on here...some people...are...interesting to say the least!!!
 
Disappointed, only because I was not wearing the perfect shirt to go with the rest of my costume, but that does not mean that anyone should become a jerk about it.

Anyone into this kind of hobby for any length of time should understand the pitfalls and be well prepared for them.

Many people here had a back-up plan, and that is a wise thing to do with a project such as this.

Hope for the best and expect the worst.

All things considered, I am still amazed at this whole thing and in the end it will all be well worth the trouble.

I am sure that for many of us, this is not the only time we will be wearing this outfit. Personally, I am both a Halloween and a Con fanatic. So this material is still very valuable to me.

i ended up dressing with my back up "hot topic" design, and nobody new any different, they were crazy for my make up and the overcoat, i didnt even wear a wig just did my bald head with a light green mist. im glad i didnt have it for halloween now cause it would have gotten screwed by alcohol,smoke,cologne, and ladies. i still had a great evening without the shirt.

so if need be , i will buy extra.... let me know
 
hey gang, I'm just throwing this out there to see if there are any takers. I found a place that sells melton wool fabric and will match colors if provided with a sample. Since I found some fabric that is what I consider to be a perfect color match to the joker's overcoat, this intrigues me. However there's a minimum order far beyond what I'd need, so it would be great if I had some other people to go in with me to get it. So if you're interested, PM me cause I don't want to take up posts on this thread. I'm just letting you know that the possibility exists, there are no real specifics yet, and since convention season is over, I'm in no hurry to do this so it could be a month or two. Just curious if anyone's interested. I'll be going through a different board to do ordering and such and since I've grown to like you all so much, I'd like to include as many of you as possible.

I'd be interested, if the color, nap/feel/weight, and price is right....any idea on how much per yard it might go for? Since I'm doing this as SA as possible, I might as well consider the option....:)

possibly, whats the cost and can i see your "perfect match" by chance?
 
Just don't do the run here on TDH, make sure you take it over to SHH. ;):p

having said that, I also may be intrested. :lol: I can't decide on a new coat to save my life.....They've all got something wrong with them. Not one is fully correct. :wacko

I agree with Jodo. This shirt fabric order ordeal has soured a lot of the Fett's here on TDH...;)

...and I'm convinced, too, that the only way I'll get a close SA coat, is to make it myself....:)

yes of course, it was always the intention to put the order on a more appropriate form, but i was hoping to bring in as many people from this board as possible since you've all been such a big help in making my own costume.:)

I was told it would ship last week. I then emailed because my credit card hasn't been billed. They then said it would ship Monday or Tuesday. It is now Wednesday and no dice on the shipping. I was planning on shipping everyone's order Saturday morning as I have EVERY package addressed. I also can't get a shipping quote for international guys until I get the fabric. Be checking your pms if youre international. Hopefully we can get that taken care of this week. I'm just waiting on them guys. Should be down to a matter of days now! I'm REALLY excited to get it!!!
 
Well, I guess now it isn't really an issue if we have to wait a few days more. I'm really excited and looking forward to getting the fabric :)
 
I hope they did a good job on the fabric, cuz their communication and business practices leave a lot to be desired... :facepalm
