Holy cow dude, that is all sintra? That is some pretty amazing work. I've used sintra for all of my Jango armor but I can't imagine doing something like this with it. Very very impressive.
Also heres a update picture with my new upgrades at cosfest

That's probably the coolest costume I've ever seen made out of sintra...hands down. Outstanding work!

Amazing work Masterle!
I sent you a PM regarding the lift mechanism for the helmet facepiece. You have most of everything figured out so there's not much to offer in exchange other than some info on the Mark III miniarc I made (see pics) and some suggestions on the lift motor.
Submitted for your consideration:

WOW!!! That is an amazing suit! Outstanding job on that!I'm looking into making Iron Man a future project!
Dead or alive, you're coming with me!
I wonder if it got bounced back?
I don't have anything yet in my inbox... Not in Junk either...
Did you send it to armoury@nb.sympatico.ca?
PS - the compression articulation looks good on your left inner elbow area!

Nice job on the Arc reactor there Tony !
Thanks! I had just had left rotator cuff surgery so I had to build it with one arm at 25%! UGH! A true labor of love, but man, did it light up the bars! I had at least 2 dozen people of all walks of life give me the thumbs up (punk rockers, stoners, jocks, senior citizens too!) They all recognized the character. It was a great Halloween night.![]()
Hilarious! I had the same thing happen last Hallowe'en.
The wife decided she wanted Chinese food, so I went out with my Arc on and was instantly a celebrity! People kept giving me the thumbs up and taking pictures with me.
Absolutely hilarious... I am afraid to think of what will happen in 2010 Hallowe'en Comic-Con in Halifax when I walk in wearing full Mk III in Aluminium + integrated tech :-)
Wow! I bet it's going to rock!!!! Please post pictures when you can. I bet it looks amazing.
Take good care!
Richie
I make a point of it Ritchie.
Right now, with the exception of the gauntlets and rear knee compression joints, it is allot of flat (yet-to-be-shaped) cut out pieces of aircraft aluminium though.

wow this is the frst time ive seen this thread and this is amazing, you truly are a talented and creative individual
MasterLE,
I reiterate, I am not sure why you still haven't sent me the info yet.
I sent you some information that I don't readily give out, in good faith... This was because of a verbal agreement between you and I to exchange information.
I understand being busy, I have 2 kids, a full-time tech job and a wife in college. All I ask is that you live up to your end of the bargain and to not be disrespectful about it.
PS - I understand if your visor really isn't powered, So if that is the stickng point, just send what you know about the proper geometry or location of the sweet spot for the mounting of the visor's friction hinge.and we'll call it even, ok?
Regards,
Phillip

Does anyone have any idea where to get the type of plastic pictured above. Masterlee says in his youtube video it is "high impact urethane plastic"
Bump, would love to know too!
the Valcan drop lock is very cool but not as character accurate as the Corona lifter. lol. next you need to install a Alcoholics Anonymous chip canon.![]()
I have the Iron Man Pepakura files but I have no idea what scale I should print it, I don't want to print the entire thing and find out it's too big or too small, if any of you guys could steer me a in the right direction that would be great
Cheers, Matt
REALLY AWSOME MAN. By the way, how do you get the mask to open like that? I've tried and tried but it wont work.

Some how I missed this masterfully hijacked thread. The mods should change the title to "Iron Man Build and Showoff Roundup" just for data sanitation and search optimization. Starting a new showoff/progress thread would be polite, but hey when your suit is done and awesome you do what you want. Great job everyone! Your talents amaze me. These have got to be some of the best fanmade Iron Man costumes around. I wish I had half your talents. Masterle247 I think yours is the best. All your poses look awesome, really. The moving stuff, the craftsmanship; you sir do some great work.
new helmet sculpt/ mold and motorized open flip face helmet.
here some of my proto-type iron man motorized open and close helmet. finally got it uploaded and never got a chance to work on it until now. still in the early stages, need to wait for more motor to come in to finish the helmet. check it out
