How to make Aurra Sing's hands? They are normal hands, just very long fingers!

I'm making an Aurra Sing costume for 501st approval (yes, Boba is on hold for a while), and I need help figuring out how to make the hands! I'm hoping to be able to make some sort of prostetic glove, because I'm not too fond of having makeup all over my pretty guns. ;)

The hands are like normal hands, except the fingers are very long. Some Aurra's have prostetic fingers only, while some just paint their hands and ignore the length the fingers should have. That is of course an option, but I think her hands are so cool! It is one of the few things that illustrates that she's not completely human.

Anyone have an idea of how to best make these beauties?

You can make a glove with that color and length then fill in the rest from the fingers with fabric or anything similar...

Yeah, that was my idea too, but how to make that glove? Thought about using thin white nylon pantyhoses, but then I would have to make seams that would be visible. Also thought about using liquid latex, but that process would be pretty hard. It would also be a real bummer every time those gloves got ruined.

I'm thinking about seamless nylon pantyhose-ish gloves if that exists, or using really tight thin rubber gloves. But I can't find either of those! :(

Or you can choose thin leather gloves. If you find some unused gloves you will be able to find the way the fingers are attached, then you can make the new fingers from leather.

Respect!

Those yellow scrubbin' the dishes gloves are rubber and can be pretty form fitting. Don't they come in different colors? Or if you turn then inside-out I believe it's white! You could cut off the extra 'gauntlet' of it and have them start at your wrist. Then add the finger length to them. Maybe two pairs of gloves. Cut off the fingers of one pair and add them to the length on the other pair. And fil those with something like cotton to give them form. I would also recommend "E-6000" for attaching the fingers together. It's a slow setting, but slightly flexible glue that's sold in the crafts department of walmart.

What do you think? I'm just throwing ideas around...

Thanks, guys! I'm working on the glove idea, but can't find gloves that are tight enough to reveal the hand structure underneath. I'm looking for some medical gloves that are even tighter than the ones I have now, but I might just go for the painted hands. *sigh*

Hmm, I wonder if a heat gun could shrink those gloves? Have to try that. *running off to the basement workshop*

They just melted. Well, noone can say I didn't try. ;)

The thing is, it has to be seamless to be better than just painting the hands. I want it to look as real as possible. :)

Hmm... I'm not quite sure how to approach this now. Have you found anything online for what other people have done? I know we all strive for accuracy, but if you want to be able to do anything when your dressed up, maybe you should just paint your hands white without adding to fingers..?

Yeah, I'm thinking that too. Bah, that means white makeup on my pretty guns. But at least it will look good for a few minutes, haha. :D
