How do I cast props in resin?

Can anyone tell me how I go about casting props in resin (or point me at some good books)
I'm a total newbie to actually casting things so a beginer's how to would be cool...

As always I highly recommend Thurston James' book The propbuilder's Molding and casting handbook http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...01281?v=glance it's great for beginners
