Anyone ever get a hot spot when painting? I'm guessing that what they are are spots in the resin that haven't completely gassed off? They take forever to dry, and have a slightly different sheen until they get matte coated. This spot has been tacky for about 11 hours.
I've seen them before on my old jetpack, and also on a garrison members scout blaster. What I did before was just wait for it to dry, but I'm doing a rush paint up at the moment, and don't know what to do... Anyone know how to take care of these, and dry them out?
At first, I thought that maybe the paint didn't get completely mixed, so I gave it another very light shot of paint, THEN I saw the hot spot... So now, its as tacky as ever. I also tried hitting it with a hair dryer, no luck.
Anyone know how to tackle these? I'd sand and repaint, but thats not gonna get rid of it, if its still gassing.
Any help is much appreciated.
You can see it here, its the shiny spot circled in red... Everything except that spot is dry...
