Gauntlets + Piano hinge > Velcro? anyone know how to do it?

I can't decide on if i should go velcro or piano hinge? does anyone know how to properly line up and attach the hinge.

Do i just grind an end and pull out the wire?

Yup. You can cut the hinge longer than you need, then cut the stop off of the end and bend the other end so you have a way to pull it out and put it back in.

I used elastic on my cardboard gauntlets, and it works great. Slips on and off like a glove. Cheap too!

If you want to go accurate to the screen used gauntlets you'll wanna do the clamshell method with velcro, (ie butt the 2 halves together on the outside & epoxy together, & use velcro on the insides)
