Hi guys!!What a Jedi without a lightsaber? "Yes - it is NOT a Jedi. I was started creating Saber and got stuck. I do not know how to make the emitter, like starkiller. What material is it possible to make? How to make? Steel pipe is not suitable - it is difficult to handle.'Help please!

I have made a couple of lightsabers. I found steel to be too difficult to work with as well...also, a steel saber would need to be plated afterwords to keep it from rusting...use a relatively thick walled aluminum tube or pipe...you can machine this with regular files and a hacksaw..

plastic pvc pipe is what i use. It's cheap and easy to use

You should check out the forums on The Custom Saber Shop. They sell alluminum shrouds at the store as well as everything else you need to build a lightsaber. The Modular Hilt System (MHS) is a great way to put a saber together. They discuss everything about sabers on the forum, just use the search feature. There are so many sub forums and threads that you have to make good use of the search feature. Be warned though, don't go on there and blindly post questions thinking that someone will answer them for you.
