Also, took a poor mold of the blaster, or half of it. :lol: I used something I saw in the hobby store today...I guess itl work for now. Just thought I'd try it out. Some of the mold looks like its bent but its not. It was the angle of the camera. Didn't want a shadow on it so I angled it.

really nice job. I read you were short on bolo. I saw you completed the cover for the rear seam of the girth. Did you measure to accomodate about 20-24 braids in height? Looks like it might be a tad too tall, or you might have to cut down the cover a little. I use about 23 braids and I'm 6-00 tall. My ammo pouches are also a little taller than Seeker's pouches to try and keep things scaled to my size. Cool stand.
 
I agree, your girth looks like it might be too wide. The screen used girth had 19 braids. It looks like you have used 17 so far and it looks like you have room for way too many more.
 
I read up on Cruzers thread on the girth and I thought he said that it was 7" wide. Thats what I cut it. But I did read that the screen used only 19 and that got me wondering if the measurements were off...I'll trim it down a bit and see what happens. :D
 
Girth is definitely not 7" wide. Maybe there was a really really old thread where Cruzer said that, but the girth is closer to 5" wide, perhaps slightly less.

yea, thats what I thought. I saw in one of cruzer's pics it was 5 1/2" wide. Thats what I was going to to with but then saw the 7" one and decided to go wider than narrower. You can always trim it off. ;)
 
So I went today and cut down the belt to 5 1/4" I wanted it a little bigger than the actual belt- 22 strands instead of 19 cause I'm taller than he was and I want it to be to scale on me. And plus, I really like the thickness of it. Anyway, here is what I got...

And I just made a casting of half the blaster. I used some Fiberglass resin. I was actually supprised by the detail that was in the mold. That $5 Mold kit wasnt that bad. I'm planning on getting some smooth cast soon along with some alja safe to make a mold of the full complete blaster (which I got to go purchase at the store). Hopefully I'll get a better mold, but for now I'm just playing around...

Well, part of the reason I was going to get the Alja Safe was cause I'm going to be making molds of my hands, filling them with some smooth-cast 320 and throw a glove over that. I was wanting a different pose for one of the hands than the one I made. So, thats the reason. However, I"ll most likely get both. Thanks for the help guys.:)
 
Did a little of an update before I head on into work. Makin the blaster barrel. And by the way, this is not a real finished product. the PVC was cut temp. to see how it would look against the blaster. Its going to be better looking. :D

And made a Sign that will go on the stand. Its in the works and really, just finished the photoshop job and making a few copies. Here is what its going to look like...

Well progress has come to an almost dead hault. All the stuff I've ordered is being shipped and there is noting I can do but wait. :facepalm but oh well. Thats the way life is right. :lol: but, I have gotten something done while waiting. I made a "Display" thing to make my Jango Display look more like an exibit or so...

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't gotten to update this lately. Started back classes and between that and work its tough. :lol: anyway, here is what I have done so far. Haven't gotten many pics taken but, oh well..its the final project that counts right...
Came out pretty good. Will probably shoot it with another coat of primer and try R&B. Tested it out a little bit...

I've had the Attack of the Clones Book for quite some time, but this is everyone of those books into one...very good deal too...:D I'll do my best to update some more...
