    Cleaning paint off resin?

I recently found a Fett side-arm that I'd bought back in 96 or 97 and had tried to paint to no avail. I wanted to try and strip the primer off it to try and clean up the detail on it. I've been thinking about trying to make a mold of it.

Does brake parts cleaner hurt resin? If so anyone know of a better way to clean this up?

Easy off oven cleaner or brake cleaner, with brake cleaner, it has to soak in it.
