Cheap Radio Shack Voice amp.

Anyone know if this will work off a mic? I'm not sure how loud it is or anything- suggestions welcome. This is the last piece of my costume and this is a last minute thing that Im not sure will work. Either my mic is broken or it doesnt amplify your voice.

it depends on what kind of connector you have on the mic.

Yeah I've seen people who use that one. It works okay but its not as good as the old version.

any one uses this? any samples of the voice? and what kinda mic connecxtor?

I have that amp but it didnt work with just my mic, i had to put it through my hyperdyne vox box first,

i know alot of people use it for stormtroopers

I use this amp on both my trooper and Fett. In the trooper I use it with aerator speakers and woorks great. With fett I put it in one of the side pouches and it does a fairly good job there. 100% better than no amp at all.
With this amp you have to use a powered mic for it to work. I made my own by taking a regular mic and adding 2 AA batteries in series with one of the mic leads.

Thanks, and I think your right. I couldnt get that thing to work so I took it back. I'll probably just order a RS at some point. They are really loud.

so any one can show a good amp setup suitable for a fet?
