Casting Question

Okay, I searched the forum, but I didnt have any luck. I want to know what rubber/material people normally use to cast items in fiberglass. I experimented with some clay, and that was fine, but I'd like to know what rubber material people use, where I can buy it, and any other usefull info.

you mean the silicone that's put over the mould? or something else?

Silicone Rubber. Tin cure, or addition cure (platinum). Just google those terms for further explanation.

For starting out, I'd go to Smooth-On. A supplier of many useful materials. They also have a helpful tech support staff that can answer any of your questions as far as what they recommend for a particular project you may have in mind.
