New Hunter
Hi!! I am new to the dented helmet, and just wanted to introduce myself. I am Brian Sullivan, and I really really want to join the 501st. I got lucky in love and married a woman with the same interests as me. I love cartoons, Star Wars, and Transformers). I got lucky because I'm 37 and shes 25 (do the math, I am making out like a bandit). I have 1 child who is soon to be a 5 year old son. He makes me so proud because when we were at Star Wars Celebration V he recognized and named off the characters he saw (insert tear of pride). He enjoys Thomas the Train, Batman, Superman, Star Wars (of course) and his favorite pastime with mommy and daddy is light-saber duels in the front yard just before bedtime.

I recently got my wife hooked onto Star Wars. It has taken six years but now she is hooked. She recently did a literary analysys of Star Wars from a Mythological point of view. A very brialiant paper. Her professor said it was the best on Star Wars she had read. Danielle's homework in part was for us to watch the original trillogy for three days. I really enjoyed that homework.

I enjoy being a stay at home dad / home maker. I have decided I want to build a Jango Fett costume and anyone who knows anything about it, I would love some guidance. I graduated from Chipola Jr college with a degree in Criminal Justice that I am obviously not using. Feel free to drop me a line.
Well thats all for now. Looking forward to making some friends and allies in the Star Wars world.

Hey Brian, welcome!

I'm pretty new here myself so I thought I'd say hi.
Out of curiosity, did you wife know that the whole SW saga is based largely on the works of Dr. Joeseph Campbell? If she hasn't read any of his books, I highly recommend Hero of a Thousand Faces; also if you can find the interview that was done with Bill Moyers, its well worth it. In it, Dr. Campbell talks quite about about how "The Beard" called him on numerous occasions to consult on his scripts for the original trilogy.

Again, welcome!

I do not know about Joseph Campbell, but she does know that it is formed from the best Mythological and Religious sources available. She also noticed that the Hero cycle applied to not just the entire trilogy, and part of the prequels, but A New Hope all on its own.
